Where can you find me?
I generally share my photos on Instagram and on my own Adobe Portfolio (freely accessible to anyone who does not have Instagram).
Why all this?
As I already hinted at in my explanation of the logo, I have been a passionate amateur photographer for several years. That doesn’t mean that my pictures are ‘perfect’ in any way or that I stand out from other photographers in any particular way. Rather, as a way of balancing out my often stressful everyday life, I enjoy capturing experiences in pictures and telling stories about what I have experienced with these pictures.
‘Well, okay, but you don’t have to share it with the whole world and, in a way, “show off” a little, do you?’ Words that a critic or someone who cannot understand the effort involved in publishing the pictures might phrase in the form of a question addressed to me.
However, my answer to this opinion – which I find quite understandable – is as follows: How often have you really sat down after a holiday, a trip or a great experience and looked at the digitally recorded pictures again in detail? Could you still remember all the stories associated with the pictures? Did these pictures fill you with as much joy as they did on the day you took them? I’ll be honest and say that after several years, in very few cases can you still remember the exact circumstances, the reason for the individual pictures or even the stories behind them – and that’s only human! In fact, I often had the ‘problem’ that the post-processing of photos I had taken always took weeks, months, sometimes even years, and I then often lost sight of them completely.
On the one hand, I had this experience frequently in the past and wanted to change it and preserve memories better in the future. On the other hand, my goal was and is to put a little smile on the world’s face, and therefore yours too, to give you a little inspiration for possible activities, or even just to give you a little moment to reflect and linger.
For both of these reasons, I decided to share individual images (more or less regularly) on Instagram and in my portfolio, which I set up specifically for this purpose. On Instagram, I also try to publish stories (again, more or less regularly) about my life as a doctoral student and life in general.
I would like to use your pictures for my own purposes…?
I am happy for my photos to be reused – for example, for reporting, social media posts or other purposes.
All images I publish are licensed under CC0 1.0 – Public Domain.
They may be freely used, shared and edited – including for commercial purposes – without attribution.
